![]() 428 Gregorian years from 444 BC brings one to 33 AD, which very obviously points to Jesus. The prophecy of Daniel 9 states that the messiah would come 62 weeks, or 434 years (428 Gregorian years) after the proclamation went forth to rebuild Jerusalem unto the messiah, which occurred in 444 BC as recorded in Nehemiah 2. The reason that it is found among the writings rather than the prophets in the Jewish canon isn’t because the Jews believed it to have been written later, but rather because it is the only prophetic book that contains prophecies which reveal the exact time of the messiah’s coming. It was written by Daniel in the late seventh and early sixth centuries BC.
